One Schengen visa, 29 different checklists: what the consulates actually ask for
The visa is one thing. The application is not. We compared the published document lists for seven nationalities at seven of the most used consulates. The law sets a floor — insurance of 30,000 EUR, a six-month application window, passport rules — and the consulate sets everything else, including how many months of bank statements it wants and how much money per day it expects to see.
